Beautiful forest walks around the area of this historic site. There is parking at the site or alternatively you can park at either Shaws Bridge or Minnowburn and enjoy following the river Lagan through beautiful forest pathways. Ned’s meadow is a nice little place to explore enroute, especially in the summer when it is blooming with wild flowers.

Walked here from Minowburn car park via the terrace garden. There is a car park right next to this if you just want to see the ring, depending on what time you visit probably space there for about 10-15 cars. You can walk around the outer ditch to take in some views of the surrounding area. There are a few stones remaining inside to look at. Including the Terrace garden, the walk took me approximately an hour with a few stops and detours.

Nearby car parking and a great place to walk. Very historic site. Well worth a visit if it is a good day. This stone circle has been around for about 4700 years; older than the Pyramids. If the stones could speak they would tell some stories.

This is a lovely spot, well cared for, interesting in itself and surrounded by walks in beautiful countryside. It is hard to believe this is so close to the city centre yet one is plunged into deepest countryside as you walk down to the Lagan at Minnowburn. The paths are very good, well done all the volunteers who maintain them.

Nice place for a casual walk and fresh air. It's good for kids to run around the ring or play hiding at the center rock. Not many people there at early hour of the day but slightly busy in mid of the day especially around 11am-2pm. So do pick a good time to avoid the crowd. Make sure keeping social distance.

I thought it was lovely - one of many local monuments but this one has a large raised hillock all around it which we walked. A few friendly dog walkers, but otherwise very quiet and peaceful. 😊

Neolithic monument just outside Belfast in the Lagan Valley. Sitting on an elevated flat plateau in lush countryside it Consists of a large Earthen Bank 200meters in diameter with Dolmen off centred. About 5000 years old. Part of a larger burial complex of which the ring is the most visible. Makes for a enjoyable walk with countryside views all around.
